Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce

For those who love pasta, this classic recipe of Spaghetti with meatballs in tomato sauce is a must on your table!


  • 16 oz elbow cooked spaghetti 
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 2 minced garlic cloves
  • 1/2 onion cut into cubes
  • 1 tsp nutmeg
  • salt
  • peper
  • 4 tbsp oil
  • 3 cups tomato sauce



  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, bread crumbs, eggs, oregano, garlic, onion, nutmeg, salt and black pepper to taste.
  2. Make little balls, about the size of a walnut.
  3. Heat the oil in a large frying pan over low heat, and fry the dumplings until golden brown.
  4. Remove the fat from the pan and add the tomato sauce, 2 cups of water, salt and black pepper.
  5. Reduce the heat, cover and cook the meatballs with the sauce for more than 10 minutes.
  6. Meanwhile, cook the pasta and drain.
  7. Arrange the pasta on a platter and pour the sauce over it.
  8. Serve with Parmesan cheese separately.
