This milk bread recipe can be a side dish for your dinner or an afternoon snack, there are many options!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk
  • 30 g biological yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm water
  • 5 to 6 cups of flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 egg yolk for brush

Instructions

  1. Bring the milk to a boil.
  2. When it has warmed, crumble the yeast in the warm water and add it to the milk.
  3. Add 3 cups of flour and beat for 5 minutes.
  4. Cover and let rise for 30 minutes.
  5. Add the beaten egg, butter, salt, sugar and the rest of the flour until it loosens from the hands.
  6. Work the dough for 5 minutes.
  7. Grease a baking pan, make small balls the size of an egg.
  8. Let it rise until it doubles in volume.
  9. Brush with yolk.
  10. Preheat oven and bake until golden brown.
