Christmas Stuffed Chicken

This recipe also fits perfectly for Thanksgiving, if you prefer to substitute the classic stuffed turkey.

A Christmas Stuffed Chicken is perfect for putting together your supper with the family at a low cost while maintaining the quality of the meal.



  • Milk 2 cups
  • Chicken broth ½ tablet
  • Onion, grated ½ cup
  • Margarine 1 tablespoon
  • Wheat flour 2 tablespoons
  • Grated mozzarella 50 g

  • Bacon 20 g
  • Chopped onion ½ tablespoon
  • Chopped garlic 1 clove
  • Prune in syrup, chopped 4 units
  • Pineapple, chopped and cooked 1 cup
  • Manioc flour 1 cup salt to taste


  • Chicken 1 ½ Kg
  • Chopped garlic 1 clove
  • Salt

*A toasted cassava or maize flour mixture.


  1. For the cream, heat the milk, dissolve the chicken broth, and set aside.
  2. Sauté the onion in margarine, add the flour and let it brown.
  3. Add the heated milk.
  4. Cook, stirring constantly, until it thickens.
  5. Finally, add the mozzarella, stir and set aside.
  6. For the farofa, melt the bacon, add the onion and garlic and let it brown.
  7. Add the manioc flour, the plum and the pineapple.
  8. Salt.
  9. To assemble, debone the chicken, season with garlic and salt.
  10. Spread the cream on the chicken, add the farofa, roll up and tie with string.
  11. bake for 3 hours.
